Carleton-sur-Mer is the port from which rock crab and lobster fishers depart, and set their traps in nearby waters. Carleton-sur-Mer was also the meeting point for Listuguj lobster fishers and Gesgapegiag processing plant workers during the 2019 Fall lobster season.
A half day's drive from Listuguj, Fox River, or Rivière-au-Renard, is where shrimp vessels are docked,and where Listuguj fishers beginning their week-long journeys toward Anticosti island in the Gulf of St Lawrence
